Announcing the availability of biological specimens from the Osteoarthritis Initiative.
The initial deadline for submission has been extended from January 15 to February 15, 2009.
Biospecimens from the entire cohort (4796 participants) for the baseline and 12-month, and 24-month follow-up visits are currently available for use by the research community. These biospecimens include serum, plasma, urine, and DNA (see OAI web site https://oai.epi-ucsf.org/datarelease//datarelease/default.asp for details). Policies and procedures have been developed for access to these specimens and are posted here.
