April Is National Minority Health Month

Collage of people representing diversityJoin us in highlighting the importance of minority health! During April, the NIAMS, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and other federal partners are raising public awareness about health disparities that affect specific racial and ethnic groups more than they affect others. For example, some diseases such as lupus and osteoporosis are more common among certain racial or ethnic groups.

Want to learn more? We are pleased to bring you our refreshed mobile-friendly A-Z health topics. For each health topic, you can find out who is most impacted by the disease as well as other essential information to help you educate others about managing conditions of the bones, joints, muscles and skin.

Raise public awareness of these disparities by sharing reliable health information with your community to help them learn about and manage these conditions.
